Someone from your past will visit or communicate with you; unwise activities in work and social settings; potential for abuse from outside influences in both business and relationships; lack of confidence in creative abilities; unstable personality and little success; not applying yourself; no initiative; being unprepared can leave you vulnerable; displaying weakness; you need to fight for what you believe is right.

Meaning (Upright):

Need to know what you want before you focus your will on gaining what you want; the Magician has a way with words; new beginning; new relationship; potential for leadership or reaching desired activity; mental and physical growth; new lesson to learn and must pay attention to details; know your skills for success; self-mastery; going in the right direction; if you focus your will, you can succeed

Meaning (Reversed):

Watch out--this can also indicate a con man at work; no new beginnings in the areas you want; no ambition or drive; stagnant thoughts, behavior, creativity; feeling low; lack of self-esteem; not paying attention to responsibilities; closed to new information; focus on the physical or sexual; lacking will power; exploitation of others; could be dominated by a more powerful will; not telling the whole story; must look deeper into the situation; not applying yourself correctly--need to change attitude to succeed

Shoes, unlike magic, are predictable. They don’t change shape, bite, or alter a person’s destiny.

And that’s just how Faryn likes it.

A Bite of Faerie

Fourteen-year-old Cherrie Wilding stopped believing in fairies after her Grams had a stroke that left her a silent, empty stranger. But whether she believes in them or not, one of them bit her, and now the venom is spreading through her system and causing  . . . complications. Like an allergy to iron and a craving for milk.

But when the fairy talks Cherrie’s brother into going to the fairy realm, Cherrie mounts a rescue attempt to save him. To her surprise, it’s not her brother who needs rescuing—it’s the fairies. Someone is stealing their lights and imprisoning them, and it’s up to Cherrie and her brother to free them. But saving the fairies, keeping her brother safe, and returning home requires the help of the Phoenix. And the price for his aid doesn’t come cheap. If Cherrie wants to succeed, she must be willing to part with her greatest possession: her heart.
