The Marketing for Romance Writers summer boot camp - you want to be there!
by Cassandra Carr
The Yahoo group, Marketing for Romance Writers (MFRW) is holding a summer camp in a few days, so I thought I'd come on my friend's blog and tell you about how MFRW has helped me and why you should join our friendly little group for the boot camp.
Marketing for Romance Writers is great because everybody is working toward a common goal - getting our books out there. Sure, we realize we're all competition for each other, but we also realize that knowledge is power, and we strive to share knowledge to increase the groups power overall. Makes sense, right?
Lots of different topics will be covered in the boot camp, from using social media to writing a great book and tons more. I've learned a lot in the classes I've taken through Marketing for Romance Writers, but even more than that, I've learned a lot in the classes I've taught through the group (I teach Twitter 101 and Intermediate Twitter). Every time I do a class with MFRW I learn something new about the subject. I know it's supposed to be the other way around-the students learn from me-but that's one of the great things about the group: mass intelligence all in one place.
So if you could use some help with marketing yourself and your books (because you have to market both), come join us for a fun and informative time!
