  1. I like the fantasy. I did not have a HEA but I like reading about it. It gives me hope. And erotic Romance, well, nothing like living vicariously. It is my escape for the real world.

  2. I like being able to depend on a HEA...unlike in real life. I really DON'T want to spend several hours of my life falling in love with characters and be depressed about their situation at the end of the book! Thank you so much for having an entry that does not exclude us non-FB and non-Twitter folks!

    1. Thank Cynnara Tregarth, ELF, she's the one coordinating all of this. And I agree, I like an HEA especially if I've invested time in characters' struggles.
      Good luck on the contest!

    1. I agree, Becki. I think living vicariously through the characters is not only the reason why I lover books, but the reason I love writing.

    1. Thank you Kaisquared for participating. I have to agree, the escape has always done it for me as well. Not to mention the characters, location and MUST have an HEA or at least HFN.
      Have a great weekend.

  7. I like to read about the romance, sexy scenes and HEA's. There has to be an HEA or cliff hanger leading to the HEA.

    1. I hear you Julie! If there's a cliff hanger, it better lead to an HEA eventually.

  8. After graduating from college I didn't pick up a book until about a year and a half ago (due mostly to a major injury/illness). Now it's fun to live vicariously through the words of others! (without rotting my brain like watching TV!)

  10. What I enjoy about reading erotic romances is that it not only stimulates my body, but my mind as well. Reading it together is something my Fiance' and I share as a couple, so it is also a boost in the sex department for us! ;)

  11. I like reading romance because I don't have it in my own life, so it's kind of like living vicariously :) And of course most of those situations wouldn't ever happen anyways, so it takes me away to another place where I get lost and forget my troubles! :D

  12. I can read pretty much everything as long as the story is interesting for me and the characters are likable. I mostly read romance, sci-fi and thrillers. The first one is when I need to relax and my brain is so tired that I cannot really focus on something very complicated and the other two are for the rest of the time :)

  25. I have a very stressful life and love the escapism books provide. There isn't always time to pamper myself appropriately, but I find a good romance/HEA can make me feel like I've had an expensive spa day - at a fraction of the price! The erotic reads are great when I really want some lovey time with Hubby, but have had a craptacular day before coming home. Just something to reset my head. as it were. :D
